To create awareness and educate the students regarding maintaining of good health and hygiene. We conduct health related programs, health camps, lectures, yoga classes.

Kannada Rajyotsava

Kannada Rajyotsava is celebrated in a grand manner. The students perform dances and enact skits depicting the rich culture of the state. Yakshagana performance was a specialty of this year.

Spectrum Week

Celebrations take place for one week. Each day students have to represent a different colour.Themes are given to each class.This year it was Red Day-Blood donation, Green Day-Green Revolution and agriculture, Pink Day-Women empowerment, Blue Day-Blue revolution, White Day-Peace. The whole college campus looks bright and colourful.

Commerce Forum

The Commerce department of VET PU College trains the students in personality development and provides sufficient knowledge regarding the functioning and working of the corporate world. The department conducts various activities to build the confidence in students and for imparting sufficient knowledge. Many activities like Workshops & Seminars, Yoga, Guest lectures, Product Launch, Advertising and Marketing, Collage, Treasure hunt, publication of Quintessence Newsletter, Business quiz and many more activities were conducted during the Academic year 2018-19.

The objective of the events is to bridge the knowledge and skill gap between Industry and Academics, and to upgrade the knowledge of the students about various sectors, in and apart from their area of specialization by conducting various commerce related events.The forum focuses to develop the overall skills among the students.

Mock Elections

To create civic awareness among students,mock election was conducted.Mallesh of II PUC CEBA was declared winner with 98 votes and elected as student president.

Trade Fair

A trade fair was organized to give students practical knowledge regarding business activities. There were many stalls which included food courts,games,cosmetics,bags,etc. and they got a very good profit at the end of the day.

News Letter

The news letter Quintessence is an annual publication that gives a comprehensive picture of all the activities of the college. It is a window that gives the outsiders a view of the college, the academic performance, cultural activities, sports events, etc. in a nutshell.

Cultural Events

VET PU College emphasizes on overall development of students. It not only conducts various co-curricular events at college to identify the hidden talents but also encourages students to participate in Inter-collegiate, District, State & National Level Cultural & Literary competitions.

States Of India

It is a class wise competition. Different states are allotted to students. Culture and heritage of state allotted are depicted using charts and models. There was a keen contest among the students to win the trophy.

Sambhram

This is an inter class competition in which students are encouraged to participate in group events mainly group dance, group song, mime, fashion show and skit. Rolling trophy is presented to the class judged as the winners.

Umang

This is a talent hunt. The competitions conducted are mehendi,rangoli,flameless cooking, nail art,collage,drawing, hair style, general quiz, pick and speak, essay writing and elocution.

Other Activities

Workshops & Seminars

Workshops and Seminars are a regular feature along with academics .Workshops and seminars of all kind like communication skills, Career opportunities, orientation programs for professional courses like CA, CS, Spiritual sessions and many more are conducted. It leads to development of skills like communication, leadership, team spirit and make the students expert in other key areas needed for job. Overall it helps in personality development of students.

Social Responsibility

Walkathon

Around 60 students along with two faculty members participated in the 5 km .walkathon to “conserve water” from Kittur Rani Chennamma Stadium.

Fiesta

As part of our social responsibility we conduct FIESTA -a competition for high school students of neighbouring schools.Science exhibition,quiz computer gaming are some of the events organised.

Models are made for Physics, Chemistry ,Biology, Mathematics and History.

General Knowledge Quiz, Cross word and Computer gaming were very keenly contested events.
